The fragrance of a perfume or cologne is strong-minded by the ingredients it contains and by the balance between those components.
Do you know the differentiation between an eau de toilette and an eau de cologne or a brand name perfume and a unbranded fragrance? Well, the brand name parfum is usually made to last longer but it’s a bit more complicated than that. The levels of essential oils found within a perfume, be it from a famous brand name or an unknown label are what determine what the fragrance will actually be called.
The main perfume categories are:
* Perfume – which is the purest form of parfum murah product and is, consequently, the most expensive. The price is balanced, however, by the fact that the scent lasts the longest.
* Eau de parfum – is lighter than Perfume and has an 8-15% concentration. It is commonly less expensive than Eau de Parfum, and lasts between 2 and 4 hours.
* Eau de cologne and Eau de toilette are in general interchangeable especially in relation to men’s fragrances. There are many other products that use perfume concentrates as well as those above. Separately from the different classes of perfumes the scents that they produce can be described by, what is known as, their fragrance notes. Fragrances consist of different notes and can be made up of hundreds of different ingredients which make every scent an individual creation jual parfum. These notes are:
* Top notes – these are the first notes you smell and are strong and very volatile. * Middle notes – these compounds form the “heart” or main body of a perfume and can be smelt as the top notes fade away. They have a mellow fragrance and include such scents as lavender, spearmint and rose.
* Base notes – the fragrance of a perfume that appears close to the fading away of the middle notes. Perfume is a very subjective subject, what one person finds wonderfully attractive another person may dislike beyond belief, this is why there are so many different varieties of perfume available on the market. Different fragrances suit different times of day and different occasions; bold, spicy fragrances lend themselves to a humid evening time whereas a sweet citrusy fragrance is more of a fragrance suited to a warm summer’s day. It is important that you wear the right fragrance at the right time if you want to gain greatest impact from your fragrance.
Perfumes have the ability to help invoke reminiscences of times past when the fragrance may have been worn before, the scent of a perfume can leave a memory imprint on our brain so that the next time we smell the fragrance we have a flashback to that occasion. How many times have you walked past a complete stranger in the street who is wearing your partner’s favourite fragrance? Perfumes and fragrances are obtainable in different strengths, the stronger the perfume the longer the scent stays on your skin. Perfume or perfume oil are the strongest fragrance available and thus are the most exclusive fragrance available, colognes and eau d toilette are usually a weaker variation of the same fragrance and cost less money but will remain on the skin for less time.
Likewise a perfume is usually more proper for an evening time where you may want your fragrance to linger for longer and not fade away as a cologne would.
